Belmadi calls up 25 players for Algeria squad

Algeria national football team coach Djamel Belmadi called 25 players for the "Desert Foxes" squad, which will host Djibouti at the Mustapha Chaker stadium in Blida and defeat Burkina Faso in Marrakech on September 2 and 7, respectively, as part of the opening of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.


He was absent from the squad for the African Cup of Nations title holder Ezz El-Din Dokha, Adlan Qedioura and Ayoub Abdellawi, who have not yet succeeded in signing with any club.


Belmadi also excluded Adam Ounass, whose vision is not yet clear regarding his future with Italian Napoli and Mahdi Taherat (Al-Gharafa Qatari), in addition to Zinedine Farhat and Mahdi Obaid, while Youssef Attal, the French defender Ayman Nice, is absent due to injury.
