Announcing the list of the UAE national team to face Lebanon and Syria in the World Cup qualifiers

The national football team will inaugurate today its internal camp in Dubai as part of the second phase of its preparation program for its upcoming matches against Lebanon and Syria, scheduled for the second and seventh of next month, in the first and second rounds for the first group in the final round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. Zabeel Stadium in Al-Wasl Club is meeting with its Syrian counterpart in the Jordanian capital Amman, as the technical staff of the team led by Dutchman Marvik announced the selection of 27 players in the final list out of 31 players who had been selected in the expanded list that was recently announced, while the coach enslaved four players They are Saeed Ahmed, Abdullah Al Naqbi, Yahya Al Ghassani and Ali Saleh.


The selection of the players in the new list came after the coach of the national team watched the players’ levels in the first and second rounds of the ADNOC League, which was launched recently. Marvik was keen to choose the most ready elements through the follow-up of the technical staff for them.


The team will perform its daily training on the Al-Wasl club sub-field in accordance with the program approved by the National Teams and Technical Affairs Committee, noting that the team had gone to an external camp in Serbia within the first phase of the preparation program


The final list included the players: Ali Khaseef, Fahd Al Dhanhani, Adel Al Hosani, Muhammad Al Shamsi, Bandar Al Ahbabi, Shaheen Abdul Rahman, Walid Abbas, Mahmoud Khamis, Muhammad Barghash, Khalifa Al Hammadi, Hassan Al Muharrami, Al Hassan Saleh, Muhammad Al Attas, Majed Hassan, Ali Salmin, Abdullah Ramadan, Ahmed Berman, Abdullah Ahmed, Fabio de Lima, Khalfan Mubarak, Khalil Al Hammadi, Mohamed Gomaa, Tahnoun Al Zaabi, Cayo Canedo, Zayed Al Amri, Ali Mabkhout and Sebastian Tigali.


The Football Association said in a press statement, "The members of the technical and administrative staff and the players have completed all the medical procedures followed in the medical protocol, including examinations, swabs, and others, before entering the camp."


It notes that the team's list did not witness any new changes or the entry of new faces, as with the exception of Saeed Ahmed, coach Marvik settled on the elements that participated with the team during the first phase of the World Cup qualifiers.


Marvik is counting on this camp as part of the second and final stage in preparing his players well in all aspects, especially that the team will face great challenges in the next stage, which requires that all players be at the highest levels of technical, physical and moral readiness.
