“Thank you to our pitchoun for everything he has accomplished under our colors”.

It is with these words posted on Facebook with an anthology of the most beautiful "flashes" of his young attacking midfielder that the TFC formalizes the departure of Amine Adli.

At 21, the much-coveted best player in Ligue 2 last season has signed up for 5 years under the Bayer Leverkusen jersey.

Trained at TFC, he was however the subject of discussions for several weeks with another German club, Bayern Munich.

He finally joined the 6th in the last Bundesliga (and currently 3rd), qualified for the Europa League.

He will play alongside striker Moussa Diaby, called up for the first time in blue by Didier Deschamps on Thursday.

Amine Adli's transfer amount has not been communicated, but it could reach 15 million euros according to German media, which would make it the biggest transfer in history for a Ligue 2 player.

A tense separation

The TFC adventure with Amine Adli still ended in blood sausage.

Under contract until 2022, the player refused to extend, forcing the hand of Toulouse president Damien Comolli, forced to part with this summer to recover compensation.

Removed from the group, he had not replayed in the jersey of the Violets since he had refused two offers from Troyes and Wolfsburg at 10 and 12 million euros.

Which, in hindsight, wasn't such a bad inspiration.
