In the summer national high school baseball, the quarterfinals were held on the 26th, and in the third game, Chiben Gakuen in Nara won the Meitoku Gijuku High School in Kochi 3-2, and decided to advance to the semifinals.

Chiben Gakuen, who was the first to score one point in the fourth inning, quickly caught up with the timely hit of No. 4 Yosuke Yamashita, and then pitcher Omasa Nishimura of Chiben Gakuen and pitcher Yu Yoshimura of Meitoku Gijuku. Both starting pitchers did not give up, and it became a competition.

In the 9th inning with 1 to 1, pitcher Nishimura was beaten by Yamato Maeda, the 5th player of Meitoku Gijuku, with the 31st solo home run of the tournament, but from the back, no out bases loaded. After catching up with the extruded dead ball, No. 5 Kosei Okajima hit a timely hit from pitcher Yoshimura and won the come-from-behind goodbye 3-2.

Chiben Gakuen has advanced to the semi-finals for the first time in 26 years since 1995.

After winning the 9th inning, Meitoku Gijuku attacked Chiben Gakuen's second pitcher, Isshin Kobata, to make a bases loaded with one out. Pitcher Yoshimura, who had made a good pitch with one goal until the first inning, couldn't stick to the end, and since 2016, he hasn't made it to the top four for the first time in five years.
