Lewandowski substitute Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting shot FC Bayern Munich into the second round of the DFB Cup.

The 32-year-old attacker scored a total of four times for the record cup winners in an effortless 12-0 (5-0) win against the fifth division club Bremer SV on Wednesday evening.

In the eighth minute, Choupo-Moting opened the scoring for the guests, who in addition to star striker Lewandowski, national goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and Leon Goretzka had stayed in Munich.

After Jamal Musiala (16th) and Bremen's Jan-Luca Warm (27th) increased to 3-0 with an own goal, Choupo-Moting made the break with two more goals (28th, 35th).

Even after the break, the lively scoring continued.

Young strikers Malik Tillman (47th), Musiala (48th), Leroy Sané (65th), Michael Cuisance (80th), again Choupo-Moting (82nd), Bouna Sarr (87th) and Corentin Tolisso (88th) scored the other goals for Bayern.

Bremen's Ugo Nobile saw the red card in the 77th minute because of an emergency brake.

“The way it was done was important,” commented Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann on the win at Sport1.

“I think the structure wasn't quite like that in the first half,” he said and referred to the Bremen counterattack.

In the second half, his team “did better”.

Choupo-Moting received special praise for his game: “That's okay!” Nevertheless, the Bremen team was satisfied.

“It was a mega experience,” said coach Benjamin Eta.

"We always tried to play football."

Sané was in the starting line-up

The game was supposed to take place at the beginning of August.

Because there had been corona cases at Bremer SV, the encounter had to be postponed.

The second round is for the 26./27.

Terminated October.

The draw is to take place on Sunday evening in the sports show.

Bayern lived up to their favorite role in the Weser Stadium, where the Bremen amateurs had evaded for their “game of the century”, right from the start. Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann had initially left Serge Gnabry and Dayot Upamecano on the bench in addition to the spared Lewandowski, Neuer and Goretzka at his cup premiere at the Munich team.

On the other hand, Leroy Sané, whistled by his own fans in the home win against 1. FC Köln last Sunday, was in the first eleven. In the drizzle of Bremen, the weak national player was able to regain a little self-confidence. Sané was involved in many successful offensive actions and scored a goal himself shortly before he was substituted. When Nagelsmann took him from the seat, there were only whistles from the Bremen fans this time. The many Bayern supporters in the stadium said goodbye to Sané with applause.

The Bremen amateurs defended themselves bravely in front of 10,093 spectators, but never had a chance against the concentrated star ensemble from the Isar. The fifth division club started briskly and even had a first chance to score in the sixth minute thanks to Lamine Diop. Shortly afterwards, Choupo-Moting brought Bayern into the lead on a pass from Sané and thus set the course early on in the direction of a cozy football evening for the big favorite.

Bayern board member sports director Hasan Salihamidzic criticized meanwhile again the whistles of the Munich fans against Sané. He expects his own viewers "to stand behind our players," said the sports director. “Of course everyone gets pissed off when they play badly. But after the game, during the game, our team must of course be supported. ”When Sané played against Cologne on Sunday, there were whistles and malicious applause from his own fans.
