Abu Dhabi Sports gets the exclusive rights to broadcast the Asian Championships

The Asian Football Confederation announced yesterday the signing of an agreement with Abu Dhabi Media, according to which Abu Dhabi Sports Channel will obtain the exclusive media rights to broadcast the matches of the Asian championships in all national team and club competitions in the country, during the period from 2021 to 2024, especially the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup. The 2023 AFC Asian Cup in China, the 2022 AFC Women's Cup in India, the 2022 AFC U-23 Cup in Uzbekistan, as well as the AFC Champions League matches.

AFC Secretary General Dato' Windsor John said: "We are pleased to enter this new partnership with Abu Dhabi Media, which confirms the increasing value of major tournaments in the AFC, in accordance with the framework of the vision and mission of the association."

For his part, Acting Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi TV Channels Network, Haitham Al Kathiri, said: "Abu Dhabi Media is pleased to obtain broadcast rights within the country for the most important national team and club tournaments organized by the Asian Football Confederation, starting from 2021 until 2024."
