Ahlquist won the first set 11-1 and maybe it was too easy.

The Turkish took second but 11-4, 11-3 in the last two sets shows that the Swede was clearly better.

- The game felt good.

I'm not happy with other sets, but found focus again.

I did not know at all where I stood, it was shaky and nervous before but it's nice to be inside it now, she says.

Ahlquist is playing the next match already this morning Swedish time.

Group play applies and a win takes her directly to the quarterfinals.

Andersson strong in the final balls

Another medal jump is Emil Andersson who also won his first match.

3-0 in sets against the Thai Komkrit Charitsat sounds simple but the set numbers 11-7, 13-11, 13-11 describe a very even match.

- It was very hard.

No dazzling game, but there are some nerves in a premiere.

It means a lot for self-confidence to know that you are strong in the final balls when it is even so it was nice, says Andersson.

Öhgren misses the Paralympics

For Alexander Öhgren, there was no game at all.

He got cold symptoms yesterday and was forced to give up gambling.

But he has tested negative for covid and the medically responsible Sara Dahlén is not worried that he has infected someone.

- He has had his own room in an apartment with others but is now moving to another house. And then he will go to Sweden as soon as possible. It is very boring, of course, but he takes it in stride, says the Swedish doctor.
