Our women's national team defeated its counterpart the Maldives 5-1 in the first friendly match that took place yesterday at Theab Awana Stadium, as part of the preparation program to participate in the qualifiers for the AFC Women's Asian Cup finals scheduled in India 2022.

The goals of our team were scored by Laila Al Muhairi (three goals), Areej Al Hammadi, and Naima Ibrahim.

The match was watched by a member of the Board of Directors of the Football Association, President of the Women's Football Committee, Amal Bushlakh, and the Secretary-General of the Federation, Mohammed bin Hazam.

The two teams will meet again the day after tomorrow at the same stadium.
