Choi Ye-jin wrote a new history of boccia, a sport for people with brain lesions at the 2012 London Paralympic Games.

She defeated Jeong Ho-won, the 'World No. 1' in BC3, the most disabled class, and became the first female athlete to win a gold medal.

[Yejin Choi/2012 Paralympic Gold Medalist: (How many more medals do you want to win at the Paralympic Games?) Two.] As

promised, Yejin Choi, who added a silver medal in Rio, put all her energy into aiming for the third medal in Tokyo.

It was an extremely difficult time for the severely disabled as the athletes' village was closed due to Corona 19, but I overcame it with my mother, who is also a sports assistant.

And tomorrow (24th) at the opening ceremony, a mother and daughter will lead the Korean team as jockeys side by side.

[Choi Ye-jin/Boccia National Team: I am proud to be the first rider for the severely disabled to promote Boccia.]

Mother promised a powerful march.

[Moon Woo-young / Choi Ye-jin's mother, Gyeonggi assistant: I want to go holding the flag together and waving it vigorously. That way, I think the players behind us will also be able to give strength to them. So I win a lot of medals.]

Our team, led by Choi Ye-jin and her mother, entered the 81st out of 162 participating teams and started a 13-day battle.

The theme of the opening ceremony is "We have wings".

The time is coming when our athletes who have overcome adversity will soar through the Tokyo skies.
