On the 23rd, the players of Boccia's Japan national team "Hinotama Japan" aiming for the second consecutive medal at the Tokyo Paralympics practiced at the actual venue.

Boccia is a competition designed for people with severe disabilities such as cerebral palsy. Throw six red and six blue balls at a time and throw as many balls as a white ball (Matodama) "Jack Ball". Compete to get closer.

Official practice began on the 23rd at the Ariake Gymnastics Center in Koto-ku, Tokyo, which is the venue for the Tokyo Paralympics boccia, and members of the Japanese national team, commonly known as "Hinotama Japan," also appeared after 9 am.

The 10 representative players first gathered to form a circle, and when captain Hidetaka Sugimura called out "I'm going", he said "Oh" all at once and started practicing.

With the help of an assistant, the players used a slide-like device called a "ramp" and threw it one after another to make adjustments and carefully check how to roll while changing the ball.

Boccia won the silver medal of the group at the last Rio de Janeiro tournament, and this tournament aims to win the first medal for individuals and pairs as well as the gold medal for the group.
