"It's okay to use your own strength."

24-year-old Wang Yue, facing the upcoming Tokyo Paralympic Judo competition, has a calm mind and does not speak quickly.

On the morning of the 23rd, Wang Yue, who was in the Olympic Village in Tokyo, Japan, told reporters on the phone: “On the whole, there are not many competitors at present. I hope that as long as I can perform well.”

The 16th Paralympic Games will be held in Tokyo, Japan from August 24 to September 5. She is from Bayannaoer City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and she will be competing in the 63kg category of Judo for the blind.

It's not that "you can't see anything," she explained to reporters in an interview, "it's a secondary visual impairment."

This stems from a high fever when she was a child, "The fever was more than 40 degrees, and finally there was a problem with the fundus."

After finishing elementary school, Wang Yue was favored by the local sports school and began to learn judo. After that, she entered the Inner Mongolia Vocational College of Sports and studied under coach Geng Xiaofei.

Wang Yue really got the attention of the domestic sports world in 2015, when she won the championship in the 63kg category of blind judo in the Ninth National Games for the Disabled.

In 2019, the 10th National Games for the Disabled was held, and Wang Yue successfully defended the 63 kg category champion of blind judo.

This year, for Wang Yue, was a full harvest year.

She won the third place in the 63 kg category of the World Blind Judo Grand Prix in Azerbaijan, the 63 kg category champion of the World Blind Judo Grand Prix in the United States, and the 63 kg category champion and team champion of the Asian Blind Judo Championship in Kazakhstan.

It is worth mentioning that in preparation for the Paralympic Games, Wang Yue has only briefly returned home twice in the past three years.

"If you get good results, it must feel wonderful." Wang Yue said on the phone that this is what she really thinks at the moment.

She said that the thing she wanted to do most after the game was, "Relax, completely relax, and travel around the mountains and water." (End)
