Cristiano Ronaldo was left on the bench by new Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri for the Bianconeri's first official game on Sunday at Udinese, as the Portuguese star is the subject of recurring transfer rumors.

If no reason has been put forward by the club to explain this strong choice of Allegri, the journalist and specialist in the transfer window at Sky Sport Italia, Fabrizio Romano, assured for his part that it was the Portuguese himself who had asked not to play this match, still wishing to leave the Old Lady before the end of August.

Cristiano Ronaldo will be on the bench for Udinese-Juventus.

Official.

He’s NOT starting - it was a precise request from Cristiano because he hopes to find a solution on the market in the next days.

But Juventus have received NO official bids yet for Cristiano.

It does not jostle at the gates for CR7

Allegri had however assured Saturday that Ronaldo was "at the disposal of the group" for this first match and denied any desire for the star's departure: "To me, Ronaldo told me that he remained, so let's clarify this point", had underlined the coach of Juve.

And Sunday, it was the turn of Pavel Nedved, the vice-president of Turin, to assert to DAZN that CR7 would remain "at 100%" this season in Piedmont.

According to the latest news, the former Madrid star has offered his services to PSG and Manchester City, without any of the clubs responding positively to his request.

For now, Juventus have not received an official offer for their striker.
