In tonight's competition in the Indycar-500, it was another top 10 placement for Marcus Ericsson.

The Swede started well and was in fifth place in the first half of the competition.

But in the second half of the competition, Ericsson lost several places a mistake in a curve.

In the end, it still ended with a top 10 position when Ericsson crossed the finish line as ninth.

- It was a long race that had several different sides.

The first half looked good and the car felt good.

But in the second half, I made mistakes that cost investments.

It was not really our day.

Not the best competition but it still became a top 10 ranking.

We had hoped for more but we will be back, says Marcus Ericsson to Indycar.

Water made the American Josef Newgarden.

The competition's second Swede, Felix Rosenqvist, finished in 16th place.

Ericsson has topped the podium twice this season.

The next competition is in Portland on September 12.
