Barcelona started bleeding points early, with a difficult 1-1 draw with its host Athletic Bilbao on Saturday evening in the second round of the Spanish Football League.

On the San Mames stadium, Bilbao advanced with a goal by defender Inigo Martinez in the 50th minute after a corner kick by Iker Muniain, and Martinez headed into the net.

But Dutch newcomer Memphis Depay equalized for Barcelona in the 75th minute with a powerful left-footed shot after a pass from Sergi Roberto, who advanced with a single effort until he ended the attack with a wonderful missile shot that made the net.
