Barcelona started bleeding points early, with a difficult 1-1 draw with its host Athletic Bilbao on Saturday evening in the second round of the Spanish Football League.

Barcelona ended the match with 10 players after Eric Garcia was sent off in overtime for receiving a second warning.
Barcelona raised its score to 4 points to share the lead with Mallorca and Valencia, compared to two points for Bilbao in ninth place.
