Bea Malecki (4-0-0) made her UFC debut in 2019 and has only had two fights since then.

She first defeated Duda Santana via submission and then beat Veronica Macedo.

The latter fight, which took place on March 14, 2020, is her latest.

At this weekend's UFC Fight Night, she is back in the octagon - and for the opposition is the debutant Josiane Nunes (7-1-0).

- It will be great fun, finally, says Malecki to SVT Sport.

"She will not give up"

She was scheduled to play against Tracey Cortez in October last year, but the match was canceled when she suffered from covid-19.

After that, the Swede was booked for a fight against Norma Durmont - but it was also canceled, because Malecki suffered an injury.

When SVT Sport reaches the MMA star, she has just undergone the weigh-in and feels ready.

- Nunes is tough, I have heard, she also has a background in Thai boxing.

Who knows, it might be a standing ovation if none of us choose to go downhill.

- She will probably not give up, she is probably such a person who drives into the last.

"It got so expensive"

However, the preparations have not really gone as the 29-year-old intended in advance.

She could not fly to and have her training camp in Dallas, which was the plan from the beginning.

- I simply could not afford it, it became so expensive with the plane tickets.

I had to solve the time needed in Sweden and then I went a month before to Las Vegas.

It worked, of course, but there were some changes.

But it does not affect her.

- I try not to think about things that I can not influence.

That's how it is.

"Will be tough"

She also chooses not to attach much importance to the fact that it has been over a year since the last match.

- Sure, it would have been nice to go to a fight every three months.

I try not to put so much pressure on it.

This weekend's gala is in UFC Apex, Las Vegas - and that means different conditions.

- It's a small arena, a small octagon.

- It will be a tough match.

What indicates that there will be a new profit?

- Every time you enter the octagon, you have to think that you will win, otherwise you feel the reason to go wrong.

But I try to focus on that I want to perform well in this match.

I want to go out and have fun.
