The sprint looked to be a duel between Elvira and Hanna Öberg, and until the first visit to the shooting range, 23-year-old Elvira was faster on the roller skis, 19 seconds ahead of big sister Hanna.

There, however, it became a costly boom.

In the standing shooting came the next barrier for the 22-year-old, but there also barred Hanna Öberg.

One who did not miss the standing and last shooter was Stina Nilsson.

And after the flawless shooting, the distance was 3.9 seconds up to Hanna Öberg who was then in the lead, which she also received instructions about before the last roller skiing.

- I went for the medals before the last round and I knew I was sniffing at the gold, says Stina Nilsson and continues:

- I am grateful that I got Linns (Persson) back at the end, because I know that she is strong at the end.

Stina Nilsson was 5.8 seconds ahead of Elvira Öberg, who finished second.

Thus, the first Swedish Championship gold in biathlon is a fact for Stina Nilsson, who in 2020 chose to re-saddle for biathlon.

- I am very happy that I only focused on myself today.

I know that my key is to stay focused on myself, says Nilsson after the victory.
