Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski, Romelu Lukaku, almost all the great strikers in the world were on the move or linked to a substitution this summer, but why wasn't Mohamed Salah with them despite his brilliance and records with Liverpool?

This comes as a surprise given that the Egyptian contract has less than two years, as it will expire in 2023, in light of his impressive performance and scoring 126 goals in 204 games with Liverpool, a record that surpassed even Ronaldo when he was playing at Manchester United.

Commenting on Liverpool's ignoring to renew the contract of the team's top scorer, Ramy Abbas, Salah's agent, wrote on Twitter, "I hope they will watch" when Salah scored a goal against Norwich in the opening round of the English Premier League.

This was not the first sign of doubts about Salah's future with the Reds, after the striker himself expressed his doubts throughout this year, and Salah told Sky Sports last May, "No one talks to me about it (contract renewal). So I can't say much about it."

This came after Salah commented on his future in an interview with the Spanish newspaper “Marca” last March, when he was asked if he would stay at Anfield, and he said, “It is not up to me, we will see what happens, but I prefer not to talk about it now, I hope I can.” From playing for many more years, why not?"

When asked about the possibility of his move to Spain, he replied, "No one knows what will happen in the future, so .. maybe one day, yes."

And the newspaper "MARCA" (MARCA) said that Salah is distinguished by being younger than many of his peers, as he is 29 years old, and he has scored more than 20 goals in all competitions in every season since his move to the English Premier League in 2017.

The newspaper added that it is understood that Liverpool are very reluctant to sell, and financial resources may be limited to many clubs around the world, but Salah's talent is almost unparalleled.

A British report stated that Salah returned this season more enthusiastic than ever, and it could simply be his unwillingness to move away from the club, at a time when elite clubs in Europe are looking for a super-class striker, which forces Liverpool to continue to extend the contract Salah before the competitors start communicating with him.
