Allegri reassures the fans .. Ronaldo remains in Juventus

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri announced today, Saturday, that he had received assurances from the team's star, Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, that he would remain in the ranks of the old lady, amid persistent rumors about his transfer.

"For me, Ronaldo told me he is staying, so let's make this point clear," said Allegri, who had to answer several questions about Ronaldo's fitness and state of mind on the eve of the Bianconeri's first league match.

"He always trained well and was always available. I read rumors in the newspapers, but there was no desire on his part to leave Juventus."

The Portuguese, last season's top scorer in Italy (29 goals), missed the last preparatory match against the team's youth, but he is "available" to resume the league.

Ronaldo himself published a long message this week denying the possibility of his return to Real Madrid, after some media reported this, without explicitly confirming his stay in Juventus for the fourth and final year of his contract.

Ronaldo defended the colors of the Madrid club during 9 seasons (2009-2018), during which he won the "La Liga" title twice and the European Champions League 4 times among several titles.

Rumors of Ronaldo's departure from Juventus have emerged since the latter's failure in the Champions League after his exit last March from the round of 16, similar to the previous season.

"Juventus, as a whole, plays to win all competitions," said Allegri, who returned to training the old lady two years later, succeeding Andrea Pirlo, who had a failed experience with Juventus, in which he lost the league title for the first time since 2120.

The five-time Scudetto winner with Juventus (2015 to 2019) added: "Let's do things gradually and try to win the first match in Udinese. It will be a balanced tournament, and to win you must not have a fluctuating level."
