Saudi Arabia will host the AFC Champions League final

The Asian Football Confederation confirmed today, Friday, that Saudi Arabia will host the final match of the AFC Champions League for the popular game this year on November 23.

The city in which the match will be played has not yet been announced, but the Kingdom will host the quarter-final and semi-final matches for West Asian teams on October 16 and 19.

Two Saudi teams are competing in the tournament so far.

Al-Hilal will play Iran's Esteghlal in the round of 16, while Al-Nassr will face its Iranian rival, Traktor.

Al-Nasr and Al-Hilal belong to the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

The Continental Federation was forced to change the tournament system due to travel restrictions applied in many countries due to the Corona virus, and then it was decided to resolve the knockout rounds through only one match, not back and forth as was the case before.

The round of 16 matches will be held between 13 and 15 September in the region, while the draw for the quarter-finals will be drawn on the 17th of the same month.

The quarter-final and semi-final matches for East Asia will be held in South Korea on October 17-20.
