Swedish junior star Maja Åskag recently won two golds in the U20 European Championships. Now she is on her way to new medals - this time at the U20 WC in Kenya. Åskag won the three-stage qualifier with a centimeter and will jump in the final tomorrow.
Maja Åskag was successful at the U20 European Championships in Tallinn with gold in both triple jump and long jump.
In the qualifiers for the three-stage final at the U20 WC in Nairobi, she jumped 13.48 and won the qualifier by one centimeter, ahead of the Spaniard Tessy Ebosele.
The three-stage final will be decided on Friday afternoon.
