Even after a quarter of a game, Malmö was close to breaking the deadlock.

Anders Christiansen entered the penalty area and offered a giant cannon that dotted the post.

Ten minutes later came the next situation.

Then Malmö made no mistakes.

The light blues found through a corner variant up to Veljko Birmancevic who fired a shot from the penalty area line.

Ludogorets goalkeeper Kristijan Kahlina had no chance - and 1-0 for the Swedish team.

Malmö then continued to press the guests and was the team that controlled the first half.

Near nightmare start on others

Five minutes into the second half, Malmö was about to get a cold shower.

The green-clad team got a free kick a few meters from the penalty area line and the shot was good - but Johan Dahlin in Malmö's goal was on the notes that time.

After the hour played, however, it was the home team's turn - again.

Anders Christiansen pulled in from the edge of the penalty area, Kahlina saved and Jo Inge Berget pushed in the rebound.

Extended management for Malmö.

In the attack that followed, it was close to a new goal for Di Blåe.

Christiansen broke free in the penalty area and managed to get a toe on the ball, but the goalkeeper got in the way that time.

Malmö left with the 2-0 victory intact and now has a dream situation before the return match which is played on 24 August.
