The nine-time rally world champion meets sharp opposition in the classic competition that annually attracts a large number of motorsport stars.

It will be both an individual competition and a national competition in ROC.

Sweden will start with two world champions in rallycross - Johan Kristoffersson and Mattias Ekström - and rally talent Oliver Solberg.

Other big names are American multi-star Travis Pastrana, rally profile Petter Solberg and Danish track racing legend Tom Kristensen.

To be decided in February

SVT broadcasts from the motor party which is decided on the frozen sea at Pite Havsbad in February.

- Winning the Race of Champions when it was decided at the Stade de France in Paris is one of the best moments in my career, says Sebastién Loeb, who describes the competition as "rock hard".

- The goal is to win both individually and the national competition, says the Frenchman.

"Fantastic"

The organizer cheers for the rally icon's participation.

- It is fantastic that Sébastien is back to compete in ROC again.

A unique opportunity for fans to see the world's best rally drivers compete in Sweden, says Fredrik Johnsson, CEO of ROC.

The drivers compete on the same terms where everyone drives the same kind of car and where the fastest driver wins.

This is the first time the competition has come to Sweden.

SVT has secured the rights to the Race of Champions until 2023.
