The ADNOC Football League kicks off today at 19:15 pm, with the Emirates’ newcomer to the league meeting with its guest, Shabab Al-Ahly, the triple champion of last season, in a confrontation that may be easy for the visiting team due to the difference in capabilities, preparation and experience of the players, while Amouri, the star of Al-Ahly youth, will miss the first match. This was confirmed by the citizen coach Mahdi Ali, due to his incomplete readiness.

With a big difference in the capabilities between the two teams due to their experience in the tournament, the coach of the Emirates team, Moroccan Tariq Sektiwi, seeks to deal with the match by inspiring enthusiasm in the spirit of the players in order to achieve a positive result against a team the size of Al-Ahly youth.

Shabab Al-Ahly finished last season’s championship in third place, and was close to competing in the title if it wasn’t for the team’s bad start, but it succeeded in achieving three championships (the Super, the President’s Cup and the Arab Gulf Cup with its old name), and includes among its ranks a large number of international players and distinguished professionals. Unlike the Emirates team, which started its season late, and the coach and foreign players were contracted three weeks before the start of the league, which means that the team needs some time to adapt and complete the ranks.

The UAE returned to the professional league after it occupied the second place in the amateur league, which is the most declining team and returns quickly to the professionals, and succeeded in stabilizing four consecutive seasons before relegating again, and the Board of Directors places hopes on the group of young players in the team in order to build a team for the future capable of Staying, stability and being in the middle of the table, especially since the club's U-19 youth team succeeded in obtaining the league championship last season.

During the press conference, Al-Ahly youth coach Mahdi Ali confirmed the team's lack of readiness and said, "They are able to compete, and my confidence in the players is great, and we are ready for the season by 70% to 80%."
