Reassuring news about Toutai Kefu and his son, both assaulted in the violent burglary of the family home in Brisbane the day before.

According to their relatives, Kefu and his son are "recovering well" from their injuries.

Kefu, 47, had to be operated on for multiple injuries to his abdomen, his wife Rachel suffered serious injuries to one arm and two of his children, Josh, 21, and Madi, were also injured by a teenager from 15 years old.

“Josh and Dad (dad) had surgery yesterday and they are recovering well,” another of his daughters, Olivia, announced on social media, indicating that Madi and their mom, Rachel, would be operated on Tuesday.

She also thanked “everyone for the kind messages of support”.

Teenager sued for four attempted murders

The police had qualified as “brutal and violent” this attack during an attempted burglary, by three teenagers.

One of them, aged 15, is now being prosecuted for four attempted murders, after being intercepted by neighbors.

Local police found a knife and an ax at the scene.

Another was arrested in a Brisbane hospital, the third is still wanted.
