SVT Sports' investigation showed that misconduct had been going on for almost 20 years, students testifying about sexual harassment, penalism and that they tried several times to alert about the misconduct, but that neither the union, operations manager or the principal of the school, municipal Norra Västmanlands Utbildningsförbund cared that do something about it.
Bengt Marberg was responsible for the training and his son Eric Marberg was one of the coaches.
In the documentary "In Deep Water", they said that there might have been harsh jargon at school, especially against the girls, but that no one had been hurt.
On Saturday, the association Fagersta Västanfors VSK, whose postal address is the same as Bengt Marberg's home address, is the organizer of the Swedish Championships in the wakeboard discipline cable.
Competition manager is Eric Marberg.
The union: "No criticism received"
It is the Water Ski and Wakeboard Association that decides who is allowed to arrange the Swedish Championships.
Pia Olsson Nieminen, general secretary of the Swedish Water Ski and Wakeboard Association, thinks that Marberg's association Fagersta Västanfors VSK is a good organizer of the Swedish Championships.
It is still the same people against whom there have been serious testimonies in another activity who will now arrange the Swedish Championships?
- Yes, but we have not received any criticism of the association from RF or from the whistleblower service or from individuals.
In the association there are also other people.
There are quite a few people in that association and we have examined the association as a whole.
If we were just looking at individuals, it would be a little strange.
We can not judge everyone by one.
In general, it is in the association's interest to ensure that everyone there works in a way that follows the sports activities, she tells SVT Sport.
She says that the Water Ski and Wakeboard Association examines all its member associations every year and after that, the wakeboard committee has considered that Fagersta Västanfors VSK can arrange the Swedish Championships.
Do you feel comfortable with the decision to award Fagersta SM?
- Absolutely.
And it is as I said, after the review of all associations, the wakeboard committee has considered that there have been no shortcomings that make it impossible to have sports activities and that it was okay for the association to arrange the Swedish Championships, says Pia Olsson Nieminen.
