An upcoming crisis between Al-Ahly and the Egyptian Federation due to international players

"Zamalek Al-Youm" website revealed expectations of a crisis in the coming days between Al-Ahly Club and an official in the Egyptian Football Association.

The website was based on the direction of the Football Association, to hold the Egypt Cup matches without the international players, with the exception of the final match.

The site said, "The Egyptian Football Association wishes to end the current season in any way possible," noting that it is studying the possibility of holding the cup competition without international players, and investing in holding the remaining matches of the competition in the international breaks.

And "Zamalek Al-Youm" added: "Al-Ahly will reject this approach completely, and will not play the cup matches without its international players, especially since Al-Ahly club officials recently regretted playing a number of matches without the Olympic team players who participated in the last Olympic Games in Tokyo."

For his part, the journalist Ahmed Schubert confirmed, yesterday, in his program “With Schubert” broadcast on “On Sport FM” radio, that Al-Ahly will not play the Egypt Cup without the internationals, “even if the sky applies to the ground,” as he put it.
