It was a game-hungry Sirius who came out strong against AIK.

The blue and black stripes held the ball the most and were better than the guests at holding the ball and playing their way onto the court, but this without getting to any goal chances.

AIK in turn tried more to attack via the longer balls and was the team that was closest to a lead goal during the first half.

But it ended goalless.

"Really bad"

The AIK effort during the first 45 minutes was the team's experienced midfielder, Sebastian Larsson, anything but happy with.

- A bad half of us.

A very bad half so there is not much to say.

No movement, it's really very bad, Larsson said dissatisfied to Discovery + during the half-time break.

Larsson suspended

In the beginning of the second half, it burned down again for Larsson.

This when he stopped an opponent from starting a counterattack.

Larsson stood in the way, let the Sirius player run straight into his back and was warned of that offense after an hour of play.

The warning means that Larsson is suspended in AIK's next match at home against Häcken on Sunday.

Although it was AIK who were closest to a first goal in the match also in the second half, the match seemed to end goalless for a long time as we approached full time.

Late decisive

But in the 89th minute the goal came.

Twelve minutes earlier, 19-year-old Erik Ring and 21-year-old Serb Bojan Radulovic had been substituted.

Ring got the ball outside the penalty area on the left and served a perfect ball towards the far part of the same area where Radulovic put his head to and nodded in 1-0.

This was the Serb's third goal in the AIK shirt that was enough to bring home an odd goal victory.

- It was a tough match from the start but I knew that if we kept our patience we would finally score, Radulovic told Discovery + after the victory.
