The Tokyo Paralympic torch is to be gathered from all over the country with the hope of realizing a symbiotic society, and on the 15th in Aomori Prefecture, fire collection events were held at seven locations.



On the 16th, a "departure ceremony" was held in Misawa City to collect fires from the prefecture and send them to Tokyo.



At the ceremony, the children of Mikawame Elementary School in the coastal area of ​​the city performed a powerful performance of a Japanese drum called "Uminari Taiko", which was washed away by the tsunami caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake but was revived with support from all over the country. ..

Next, Eiji Nozawa, who was born in Aomori City and won the silver medal at the Nagano Paralympics Biathlon competition, entered in a wheelchair, and the torch was lit from a torch in the shape of a Jomon pottery.



Mr. Nozawa, who raised the torch, declared, "We will firmly deliver an important fire filled with Aomori's thoughts to Tokyo."



Fires sent from all over Japan, including Aomori Prefecture, will be gathered together in Tokyo and will be lit up at the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Paralympics on the 24th of this month.
