The head of the UAE national swimming team, Khalifa Al Kaabi, who is participating in the Gulf Water Games No. 28, scheduled to be held in Qatar during the period from 19-22 August, affirmed his confidence in the participation of the national team and its ability to achieve outstanding results. The UAE participates in the championship with the junior, youth and general teams, which is the first experience for national teams to participate in the tournaments, after a long period of suspension due to the outbreak of the Corona virus. Today, the delegation of the national swimming team is leaving to participate in the Gulf Cooperation Council Championship, and the Federation’s Board of Directors decided to assign Board Member, Financial Director Khalifa Al Kaabi, to head the mission. Al-Kaabi confirmed to "Emirates Today": that the national teams organized an internal preparation camp in the Hamdan Sports Complex, and the training lasted two periods a day. The expedition includes 18 swimmers, they are:Abdullah Al Balushi, Hamad Mohammed, Mohammed Ali Al Yamahi, Rashid Al Dhanhani, Omar Mohammed Abdullah, in the Cubs team, Omar Hafez, Hussein Al Sayegh, Suhail Yaqoub, Saeed Shehab, Eid Ahmed Al Majini, in the under-14 team, Salem Ghaleb, Saeed Al Alili, Saeed Atiq, Jaafar Al-Sayegh, in the under-17 team, and Omar Al-Hammadi, Youssef Al-Matrooshi, Abdullah Ibrahim, Ismail Mahmoud, in the national team.
