- Ingvild's health situation is not good enough for Top Sports Week or high altitude camp in Italy.

She receives continuous feedback from our health team and the Olympic Summit (Norway's equivalent to the Swedish Olympic Committee, editor's note), says length manager Espen Bjervig to VG.

This week, Norway's best cross-country skiers compete in roller skis in Norwegian Top Sports Week.

Later in August, a longer national team camp awaits in Italian Livigno and Lavazé.

The high altitude camp is extra important considering the Olympics in Beijing next year, which will be decided on altitude.

Ingvild Flugstad Östberg has not competed since March last year.

Already in the autumn of 2019, the 30-year-old began to feel health problems linked to too low energy intake, and when it was time for the Norwegian season premiere in Beitostölen in November last year, the Norwegian was stopped because she did not meet the union's health requirements.

She then missed the entire last season.

"I will work to get back to what gives me the best energy in the world - to compete on skis - by adjusting my training and ensuring that my nutritional intake is good enough over time," Östberg said in a press release in November.

Espen Bjervig does not know when Östberg can be back in training with the rest of the national team.

- It is difficult to say, but as soon as the health situation allows it, he says to VG.
