After the 2019/20 season, Elin Hallagård, then in Heid, put the shoes on the shelf.

By then, she had, among other things, won six Swedish Championship gold medals with Sävehof, made nine international appearances for Sweden and participated in the European Championships in France in 2018.

But only a year later, Hallagård is back on the handball court.

Next season she will play with Önnered in SHE.

- It was a pretty quick decision, Önnered heard from him and needed reinforcement.

I thought you can always test, in addition it can be nice to sometimes come from home with two small children, says Elin Hallagård to Handbollskanalen.

So far, there have been two training sessions with the new club for the comebacking 32-year-old.

- It felt good, a lot is left in the spinal cord such as passing games and game building.

I did not feel any pain or so afterwards, she says.

Önnered starts the SHE season on September 17 at home against Västerås.

- I do not want people to expect me to carry or lift a team.

Above all, I want to contribute with my defensive game in the middle.
