During the joint meeting of the Association with professional clubs, work was done to make an amendment to the competition system with regard to clubs that graduated from the playoffs, between striving to maintain the competition in its current system, and the gains of the last season 2020-2021 regarding the new system for the competition, which met with great success, and discussing the possibility of Holding all matches with international players, and seeking to raise the market value of the competition, in addition to providing additional matches for teams that graduated from the first stages and thus the continuity of their activity through this tournament, which provides clubs with an opportunity to play matches during the period of suspension of the ADNOC Pro League competitions.

The meeting enjoyed the active participation of representatives of the 14 professional clubs, and the most important developments regarding the competition were reviewed in reference to previous discussions during the developmental technical affairs workshop for the 2021-2022 sports season, and the proposals of some clubs that asked the League to discuss the appropriate mechanism for holding matches during FIFA days, especially for the teams that Graduated from the first rounds, and the clubs agreed during the meeting that the teams that graduated from each stage of the league system play from one round to determine the positions in each stage, as follows: The teams are not qualified for the quarter-finals:The matches between the six teams that do not qualify for the quarter-finals are held in the league system from one round, so that each team plays with the other five teams on the positions from the ninth to the fourteenth, while the four teams that do not qualify for the semi-finals play in the league system from one round on the positions from the fifth to the fourth Eighth.
