Paris Saint-Germain led the French Football League by beating its guest, Strasbourg, 4-2, in the second stage of the competition.

Nice taught its host Lille, the defending champion, a tough lesson, and beat it 4-0.

At the Parc des Princes, the Parisian team won its second consecutive victory, in the absence of Argentine newcomer Lionel Messi and his Brazilian colleague Neymar.

Before the match, Saint-Germain presented its five players (Messi, Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Moroccan Achraf Hakimi, Spaniard Sergio Ramos and Dutchman Jenny Wijnaldum) to the fans.

Saint-Germain raised its lead to 6 points, while Strasbourg remained at the bottom of the standings without points.

Saint-Germain advanced with three early goals, signed by Mauro Icardi (3), Kylian Mbappe (25) and Julian Draxler (27).

But Strasbourg regained its balance, and responded with two goals through Kevin Gameiro (53) and Ludovic Agork (64).

Strasbourg suffered a strong shock in the 82nd minute, which was the expulsion of Alexandre Dzeko, so Saint-Germain took advantage of the numerical shortage in his favour, and Pablo Sarabia scored the fourth goal for the hosts 4 minutes before the end.
