Ligan Dynamo, a club in the Russian third-tier football league, has signed Habib Nurmagomedov, the former world champion in mixed martial arts (lightweight), who announced his retirement last October.

Nurmagomedov, 32, decided to retire from mixed martial arts after his victory over American Justin Gethy on October 24, in his first match after the death of his father, Abdel Manab, due to Corona.

Last January, Nurmagomedov said he wanted to switch to football, and wrote on Twitter that he was preparing for his debut in the popular game and was "waiting for offers".

Legane Dynamo revealed the contracting deal with Nurmagomedov via Instagram.
