More than 60 years after an 18-year-old Cassius Clay, later Muhammad Ali, debuted as a professional boxer, it is time for his grandson to do the same.

Nico Ali Walsh, 20, is the son of Muhammad Ali's daughter Rasheda Ali and will meet Jordan Weeks in his first professional match on Saturday.

- It is extremely important for me to carry on his legacy, at the same time as it is extremely important for me to build my own, says Nico Ali Walsh to SNTV.

"Pass on the legacy from grandfather"

Muhammad Ali won 56 of his 61 professional matches, 37 of them by knockout.

He was world heavyweight champion three times during his career.

- For the rest of the world, it may seem that I pass on the legacy of the best boxer that has ever existed, but I see it as I pass on the legacy from my grandfather, which puts a little pressure on me.

But everyone needs pressure to do great things, says Nico Ali Walsh.

Nico Ali Walsh is currently studying his final year of college with a focus on business economics.

He will compete in middleweight his professional debut on Saturday.
