The famous jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot is again suspended for six months according to the company France Galop, organizer of horse races.

In May, he was indicted for rape after a complaint.

This is the second complaint against him for the same reason.

A second jockey, Pierre Bazire, is also suspended in the same case.

The star jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot, suspended since mid-May after his indictment for rape, remains suspended as a precaution six more months, announced Friday in a press release the company France Galop, organizer of the races. Another jockey, Pierre Bazire, indicted for non-denunciation of a crime in the same case, relating to facts dating back to February and taking place on the sidelines of a horse reunion, is also suspended six more months.

"Although these two jockeys remain presumed innocent, in view of the ongoing criminal proceedings to which they are still subject, the seriousness of the alleged facts and their damage to the image of the races, to the regularity and to the safety of these, as well as the organization of the related bets, the commissioners suspended, as a precaution, and for a period of six months "their authorization to mount, justifies France Galop in the press release.

The Stewards made this decision in application of the provisions of Article 216 of the Racing Code.

These measures may be "lifted at any time or renewed depending on the elements that will be brought to the attention of the commissioners of France Galop".

He is the target of two rape complaints

Already targeted by a first investigation for rape, which he denies, Pierre-Charles Boudot was indicted on May 12 after the complaint of a second young woman for alleged facts dating back to February, on the sidelines of a horse show in Cagnes-sur-Mer, in the Alpes-Maritimes. In the first case, for alleged facts which allegedly took place in Deauville in August 2015, he was placed under the status of assisted witness.

At 28, he is considered one of the best jockeys in the world, triple flat gold whip (2015, 2016, 2020). Pierre-Charles Boudot, who has already missed all the spring appointments, including the Prix du Jockey-Club and Diane, will therefore not run, on the first Sunday in October, the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, considered like the world championship of the gallop. He won this race in 2019 with the French thoroughbred Waldgeist.
