Find out what questions Guardiola evaded before the start of the English Premier League

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has dodged questions about Harry Kane, saying the England captain is still at Tottenham and it is wrong to talk about his future.

Reports linked the Tottenham striker to a possible move to the Premier League champions this summer, and Guardiola told reporters last week that City would like to sign him, but the ball is in Tottenham's court.

The two teams will meet at the start of their Premier League campaign on Sunday.

"I answered that question in the previous press conference," Guardiola said. "The last time was exceptional. I usually don't talk about transfers."

The City coach confirmed that midfielder Kevin De Bruyne will miss the start of the season as he is still recovering from an ankle injury he sustained while playing for Belgium in the European Championship, while newcomer Jack Grealish is expected to play against Tottenham.

Guardiola said, "De Bruyne's condition is improving from day to day, but he cannot participate in a full training session. We will see in the next few days."

City won the title last season by 12 points, but Guardiola expects a tougher competition this season.

"Since I arrived here, I feel that every season is getting stronger and fiercer than before with better teams," he said.
