Renée Slegers, born and raised in the Netherlands and Willem II.

came to Sweden and Djurgårdens IF in 2011. After five seasons in the damallsvenskan with Djurgården and Linköping, plus 55 international matches for the Netherlands, a knee injury put an end to continued play in 2016.

In 2018, the coaching career took off in Skåne's Limhamn Bunkeflo and now, just over three years later, only 32-year-old Slegers take on one of Swedish football's absolutely toughest assignments.

- Press, absolutely, that's what it looks like in football, but I work as a person so that I can handle that pressure.

That you dare to make demands on yourself and your surroundings, says Renée Slegers to SVT Sport.

Fourth female head coach

When Renée Slegers now takes over the coaching assignment in Rosengård, the team is in a clear league lead.

The loss zero is intact and the team has only two goals conceded in twelve matches.

With the new job, Slegers will be the fourth female head coach in this year's damallsvenska.

- If I can be a role model for someone, I'm happy to be, because I myself did not have it.

Therefore, I never had any thoughts of becoming a coach.
