Golf journalist Göran Zachrisson is dead.
He died in Stockholm this morning after a short period of cancer.
Göran Zachrisson was "Mr Golf" in Sweden and one of the world's most knowledgeable and respected journalists on the subject.
For millions of TV viewers, he was for more than half a century the man who enchanted his audience with his unique way of commenting.
After almost 30 years at Swedish Television, he worked for commercial channels, mostly as a golf commentator.
Even after his 80th birthday, he sat for hours at the microphone in Viasat's broadcasts.
Göran Zachrisson was a gentleman who lived to tell stories.
He turned 83 years old.
