Göran Zachrisson has meant a lot to Swedish golf, not least when it comes to the golfers themselves.

This morning he died after a short period of cancer.

Jesper Parnevik says that he was met with the message with sadness.

- It is of course very boring.

We have been good friends for 40 years.

He was like an extra dad to all of Sweden's golfers.

He has participated in all my big competitions and also with Annika (Sörenstam) in her career.

He was just as happy when it was the Solheim Cup and Ryder Cup as when it was the US Masters or when Stenson won the British Open, says Jesper Parnevik to SVT Sport.

- I would like to say that he is one of the biggest reasons why golf is what it is today in Sweden.
