When SVT Sport reaches golf star Helen Alfredsson, 56, she politely says no to a video interview because she has not had time to fix her hair.

- Göran had never accepted that they had looked like that on TV, she says.

Alfredsson competed professionally between 1989-2013 and encountered the legendary commentator on several occasions.

Both to be interviewed, but also in connection with work.

- He was very special.

He loved golf more than anything else and I loved that he was so emotional.

I remember when Henrik Stenson won, he got tears because he wanted to be a part of when a Swedish man won a major.

"Golf became famous thanks to him"

Zachrisson's comments were inclusive, she says.

- He talked to everyone, not just those who knew golf.

Even those who did not watch much golf were allowed to participate.

The passion made him have more words, says Alfredsson, and emphasizes that he always added value for the viewers.

- He had stories that he told.

He told a story and when something happened on TV he commented on it and then went back to telling the story.

- I myself have been playing golf for so long and know that golf became known a lot thanks to "Zacke".

"We have a lot to thank Göran for"

Sounds like he made golf grow?

- Really.

It was a joy to listen to him.

He was a painter, involved, he knew a lot and loved golf.

It came through on TV.

Above all, it was genuine.

And she thinks Zachrisson wants to be remembered as someone who truly loved, lived with and for the Gulf.

- We have a lot to thank Göran for;

that it was he who commented on the golf when it began to be broadcast.

Has he meant much to your particular practice?

- I think he meant to all of us.

You learned a lot from him and how history was also important.
