The first national football team inaugurated, yesterday, its external camp, which is currently located in Serbia, as part of the first phase of the preparation program for the final round matches of the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, for the first group, which includes the teams: UAE, Iran, South Korea and Iraq. The national team supervisor, Muhammad Obaid Hammad, said in a press statement: “The program developed by the team’s technical staff, approved by the National Teams and Technical Affairs Committee, is very appropriate, especially as it includes two phases: the first is the Serbia camp, which will last for a week, while the second phase. It will be a week before the first confrontation,” noting that the time interval between the two stages will witness the players playing two matches with their clubs in the professional league competition, which will start on August 19, which means that the players will reach the technical and physical readiness.

Hammad spoke about the list of players in the current camp, saying: “All the elements in the team are distinguished, and they are not new to the team, as they are among the list that fought the last qualifiers, which witnessed the brilliance of (Al-Abyad) and its qualification to the final rounds with merit, after its victory in the The four matches he played over the course of two weeks, with the exception of some elements that were absent due to injury and lack of readiness.”

Regarding the absence of some elements from the Serbia camp, Hammad confirmed: “These absences came for different circumstances. Youssef Jaber suffers from a health problem, Khalfan Mubarak, Muhammad Juma Eid, Muhammad al-Attas, Fabio Lima and Ali Salmin suffer injuries after participating with their clubs in friendly matches, and their need for treatment. Rest has become important, as the technical staff preferred that the players complete their treatment program with their clubs, and there is complete coordination between the medical staff of the national team and clubs, noting that injuries do not cause concern, and the players will be ready in the coming period.

The team supervisor added that “the technical staff was keen, during the last period, to follow up the players who joined the team, by attending the training sessions and friendly matches that the clubs fought in preparation for the new season,” praising the cooperation of the technical and administrative bodies of the clubs with the team, and their response on all aspects related to the players. internationals.

For his part, the State Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia, Mubarak Saeed Al Dhaheri, praised the efforts made by the Football Association Board of Directors, headed by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, in the issue of developing the game, whether local competitions, national teams or distinguished international relations with national federations in different continents of the world, through the development of a plan, strategy and a clear vision based on non-traditional foundations.
