Seo Chae-hyeon, who finished last among eight players in speed, a weak event, finished in 7th place due to lack of experience in bouldering in the second event.

According to the method of multiplying the ranking, Seo Chae-hyun, who stayed at the bottom with 56 points, was aiming for a comeback in the last lead, the main event.

With all the previous 7 players finishing the match, as in the preliminary round, in a situation where they could win a bronze medal if they took first place, Seo Chae-hyun had to overcome Garnbrrett's 37th hold, who had been leading lead until just before.

The 35th hold was fine.

However, while trying to grab the 36th hold, his hand slipped and fell.

In the end, Seo Chae-hyun finished her first Olympic challenge in 8th place, just three steps ahead of the medal.

Seo Chae-hyun promised the next with tears, saying that she poured all her strength into it.

[Seo Chae-hyun / Sports Climbing National Team: I wish I could have done better at bouldering, but that's too bad... Still, I don't think I have any regrets because I've spent all my strength in the lead.]

Seo Chae-hyun, who has grown up a notch with this Olympic experience, is determined to try again with improved skills at the Paris Olympics in three years.

As speed is separated as a separate event at the Paris Olympics, the chance of a medal for Seo Chae-hyun, who will be 21 at that time, is expected to increase.

[Seo Chae-hyun / Sports Climbing National Team: At that time, I will prepare better and work hard so that I can show you a better image.]
