The United States won the gold medal in the women's 1600m relay final and won the tournament for the seventh consecutive time.

Allyson Felix, who played the second run, became his 11th medal at the Olympic Games, surpassing Carl Lewis's 10 medals to become the most American track and field athlete in history.

The 35-year-old Felix won the silver medal in the women's 200 meters in the 2004 Athens Olympics, as well as six gold medals and three silver medals in the 200 meters, 400 meters, and relay events.

Felix won the bronze medal, which is his 10th medal at 400 meters, in line with the record of Mr. Lewis who was active in the men's 100 meters and long jump, and won the gold medal of the 1600 meters relay on the night of the 7th in the United States. This is the 11th medal in total, which is the largest number in the history of the track and field athletes.

Felix has stated that the Games will be "the last Olympics."

The highest number of Olympic medals won is Michael Phelps of the United States, who was active in swimming, with a total of 28 medals, including 23 gold medals.
