The USA had had the grip on the victory and had been in the lead for most of the match.
But in the end, the French team approached and it was a really exciting end to the match.
With ten seconds left, Nando De Colo scored two free throws and the American lead was only two points.
But after a timeout, the American team managed to hold off and was finally able to win the final 87-82.
Superstar Kevin Durant showed the way for his team with 29 points in the match and secured his third Olympic gold with the USA.
