The fans' request to sign Al-Shennawy came in response to Al-Hilal's contract with West Bromwich Albion star Matthews Pereira.

Some Al-Nasr fans circulated the tag to demand a contract with Al-Shennawi, with the publication of Al-Hilal's tweet, through which the contract with Pereira was announced.

The value of the Pereira deal with Al Hilal amounted to 80 million Saudi riyals.

The name of Muhammad Al-Shennawi was associated with the Saudi club Al-Nasr to compensate for the departure of the Australian goalkeeper, Bradley Jones, whose contract with the club expired at the end of last season.

While the official Al-Ahly channel confirmed that the club’s management did not receive any official offers regarding the professionalism of its goalkeeper, Muhammad Al-Shennawi, whether for European or Arab clubs, contrary to what is said in Egyptian media channels regarding the offers that reached Al-Ahly regarding the dispensation of his international goalkeeper.

The last period witnessed a remarkable brilliance for El-Shennawy, who is described as Egypt's first goalkeeper, after his wonderful appearance in the Tokyo Olympics with the Egyptian team.
