Sweden had massive chances to decide the Olympic final against Canada after full time and also during extra time.

- Sweden had full control of the match before the unfortunate penalty shootout until 1-1 in the second half.

During the extra time, there is also only one team on the pitch, says Markus Johannesson

The nerves made up for it

Into the penalty area, the nerves played a prank for both teams in what became a nerve-wracking drama.

- I have seldom been this nervous during a football match.

There were a lot of nerves during the penalty shootout with a lot of missed penalties.

Caroline Seger still has the chance to decide in the fifth penalty to 3-1 but missed and then it turned out as it did, says Johannesson.

Lived with great favorite

An undefeated Sweden until the final were painted as favorites and in a completely different situation than before the final against Germany in the Olympics in Rio de January 2016.

- In Rio, no one had expected Sweden to go this far.

Here they went in with another favorite because they also painted themselves as a team that can go all the way.

Sweden is also good enough to win the final.

Had they had more cold and been more distinct at the crucial situations, Sweden would have won, says Markus Johannesson.
