Angelica Bengtsson did not succeed in the ladies pole vault final.

She finished in 13th place, after "only" passing the entrance height of 4.50.

When she was interviewed by Discovery a moment later, she seemed close to starting to cry.

- You feel bad, she said, in answer to the question how it felt, but then continued:

- But then at the same time so ... I managed to get here.

If there is anyone who feels that you could do better yourself, you have not managed the journey here, and the rest have not tried to jump pole.

Tried to look positive

Bengtsson also questioned the tough raising schedule, where they raised 20 centimeters as the first raise.

- It was in itself the same as in Doha (where the World Cup was decided two years ago), but can not expect that we are in the same shape now, as before when half were trapped and the other half questioned why they were doing sports , she said, referring to the corona pandemic - which Bengtsson had previously told made her feel bad.

But despite the obvious disappointment, she still tried to find joy, after what was her first Olympic final.

- It is unbelievable that I made it to the final, I would say.

It has been as complicated as before the Rio Olympics and the London Olympics.

And at the Rio Olympics, I learned that it is difficult to get to the final, so I have still achieved something, she said, and then hinted that she is not at all hungry for more competitions:

- I may well compete in the Swedish Championships for the club and in Finnkampen for Sweden ...
