The Bleues du basket have in turn composted their ticket for the semi-finals of the Tokyo Olympics, thanks to their snatch victory against their great Spanish rivals (67-64).

They will face Japan on Friday in an attempt to secure their place in the final, as they did five years ago in Rio.

Heroic and combative, the French basketball players, led by great Marine Johannès and Gabby Williams, qualified for the semi-finals of the Tokyo Games at the expense of Spain (67-64), Wednesday in Saitama, maintaining more than ever their dream of a medal. The Blue, finalists of the last Euro, therefore return to the last Olympic square, as in London in 2012, with a silver medal, and in Rio in 2016 where they had failed at the foot of the podium (4th). They will face Japan on Friday for a place in the final.
