Vasalunds received Helsingborgs at home at Skytteholms IP on Wednesday night.

The first half ended goalless, and when the team groped out on the field to complete the match, the home team's Adam Id Salem squatted down.

He then received medical attention and was carried out on a stretcher.

The medical team is not sure what happened.

- We do not really know but think he got a little lack of oxygen.

The doctor judged afterwards that he did not need emergency medical care, however, he is close to the doctor throughout the match and is feeling well now, says Vasalund's communications manager Elias Gergi in a text message to SVT Sport during the match.

"Saw that he was not feeling well"

Teammate Isak Hien says that everyone saw that he was not feeling well.

- It was something we all tried to let go and continue the match, Hien said to Discovery + after the match.

- It was a bit tough the first five.

We are all close to the team and it is clear that we know him.

Frej Ersa Engberg replaced Id Salem and the match was completed.

Helsingborg left as the winner after a goal by Rasmus Karjalainen in the 55th minute.

Vasalund will face GAIS next and Helsingborg will host Landskrona BoIS at home.
